Valley Adult Day Services’ history began early in 1989 when two local Reverends determined that there was a serious need for an Adult Day Care to provide respite to the caregivers of Tulare County. VADS officially opened on April 2, 1990 and has since served thousands of caregivers, loving families, and relatives.

 

Originally VADS was founded as Porterville Senior Day Care (PSDC), renamed as Porterville Adult Day Services (PADS) in 2002, and then in 2015 became known as Valley Adult Day Services.

 

VADS’ mission is to be “Your Caregiving Partner”. Our vision is to provide adult services honoring choice, dignity, independence and quality of life. We serve those adults who cannot stay home alone, including those with Alzheimer’s disease and other related forms of dementia, and provide continuing support for caregivers.
